With the snowy weather on a nonstop loop this winter, we're looking forward to the summer season, and thinking ahead into fall for a rich mix of colors. But before we bring you the final lineup, we've got snaps of the samples that show some of the details of the next collection.
From fine gathers to wide waistlines and pops of oversize shell buttons, we've included more types of stitches and finishes to showcase the small features that make a design unique and well-crafted. Reviewing the clothing in person with the team of sample makers helps fine-tune the details of the garments as we try them on multiple women to check fit and proportion for the final grading process.
In addition to the organic cottons and upcoming block prints, we've also tried some new fabrics, experimenting with khadi cloth. The hand spun and handwoven process of khadi can be used to give a linen-like texture to fabric, bringing in both an artisan tradition and artisanal look.
The Huaka'i collection will be here soon, ready for the very welcome summer sun in three-season fabrics that take you into fall. We can't wait to share more as the weather warms up and the upcoming events get rolling!
